Gratitude in Action: Thanking Our Community Partners This Giving Season
At Harbor House, we know that creating a community free from domestic and sexual violence takes all of us. Every day, we’re reminded that our strength lies not only in the work we do within our walls—but in the incredible network of partners who walk beside us.
This giving season, we’re reflecting on the power of collaboration and extending heartfelt thanks to a few of the partners who help us serve survivors and families with compassion, care, and expertise.
Christine Ann Center
Our partnership with Christine Ann Center continues to grow stronger each year. Our teams have worked closely on a number of projects that make a real difference for survivors navigating complex systems. Together, we’ve conducted several joint legal trainings alongside Legal Action of Wisconsin, training more than 85 guardians ad litem through the Wisconsin State Board, and providing restraining order training at the Victim Rights Conference for both law enforcement and advocates. We’ve also collaborated on resources to help clients understand and file divorce, custody, and placement documents—critical steps toward empowerment and safety.
City of Appleton
Our work with Liz Crowley at the City of Appleton is a lifeline for survivors facing housing barriers. Liz is always there to guide our advocates through housing coordination, barrier assessments, and policy changes at the state level. Her partnership ensures that survivors have access to the housing support they need to rebuild and thrive.
Diverse & Resilient
We are deeply grateful for our partnership with Diverse & Resilient—especially Nick and Reiko, who go above and beyond to connect our mutual clients to affirming community resources. Their care and commitment help ensure that every survivor receives inclusive and equitable support.
HomeBase at the Boys & Girls Club
This month is National Runaway Prevention Month, making it a fitting time to celebrate our collaboration with HomeBase at the Boys & Girls Club. Together, we’ve supported youth with referrals, wrap-around advocacy, and prevention programming. From care packages to youth activities, Katie and the HomeBase team have been incredible partners in ensuring that young people have safe spaces and trusted adults to turn to when they need help most.
This season of giving reminds us that generosity takes many forms—time, compassion, expertise, and collaboration. To all of our community partners, we thank you for standing with Harbor House and with every survivor we serve.
And stay tuned: later this month, we’ll be sharing a special post dedicated to our amazing volunteers, who give so much of their hearts and energy to make our mission possible.
Together, we are stronger. Together, we create hope. 💜
